This is the FIRST and ONLY book, in full color with over 770 screen captures, on Autodesk Inventor Simulation making it the perfect resource for Inventor users who want to quickly learn and apply; the powerful dynamic simulation, assem
bly analysis and optimization capabilities of the new 2010 Inventor Simulation software.
With simple clear guidance and real-world tutorials, the step-by-step approach will help users of all skill levels to become proficient in using the simulation software. The 13 design problems presented in the book cover all core aspects ofthe new 2010 Inventor Simulation software, and their solutions are universal, so the users will be able to apply the crucial lessons learned in order to quickly solve their own design problems.

Up and Running with Autodesk Inventor Simulation 2010 - Only
book dedicated to Inventor Simulation users
With this in mind I have written this book using actual design problems, which have greatly benefited by the use of Simulation technology. More importantly I have also attempted to explain the process of applying this simulation technology by using a simple step by step approach, with explanation and tips, with the view of what questions a typical designer and development engineer may want to ask, whilst he or she is performing the task. The design problems are carefully chosen as they cover all core aspects and capabilities of dynamic simulation and stress analysis, and their solutions are universal, so users should be able to apply the knowledge quickly to their own design problems with more confidence.
The book basically comprises of two sections Dynamic Simulation (Chapters 1 -8) and Stress Analysis/ Optimization (Chapters 9 -15). Chapters 1 & 9 provide an overview of dynamic simulation, stress analysis and the Inventor Simulation’s interface and features so that you are well-grounded in core concepts and the software’s strengths, weaknesses and work around. Each design problem illustrates a different unique approach and demonstrates different key aspects of the software making it easier for you to pick and choose which design problem you want to cover first, as it is not necessary to follow along sequentially.
The joints process, including redundant joints, within dynamic simulation is probably the most important, and probably from my experience one of the reasons of the lack of usage of Simulation. Therefore this book has focused a particular emphasis on the joint creation process by showing all the possible methods of creating joints, efficiently. Each chapter (1-8) at the beginning shows which joint has been used making it easier for you to concentrate on the joints required for you own design problems.
Stress Analysis within Inventor has been around for many years but its usage has been limited due it single part stress analysis capability. With the release of 2010 this limitation has been overcome by the availability of Assembly Stress Analysis and the unique powerful function of the Parametric Optimization studies, and is discussed in detail from chapter 9 to 15.
This book is primarily designed for self paced learning by individuals and can also be equally used in an instructor-lead classroom environment.
In my experience, there may be situations when you will need extra help and advice on the content in this book. With this in mind I am offering Global Simulation Book Support
