90 DEGREE M16 BOLT REMOVAL TOOL

Customer : Hallin Marine UK Ltd

Tasks:

  1. Determine Input Torque, at handle.

Benefits:

Ability to modify design effectively to achieve the maximum torque ratio, within specified design limits.

CANAL BRIDGE

Customer : British Waterways

Tasks:

  1. Determine maximum force required by Jack to fully open the bridge
  2. Determine loads induced by the jack into the bridge structure

Benefits:

Ability to size the jack accurately as the size of the motor required to drive the jack needs to be as small as possible, as space is limited with the pedestals

NOVEL ROTARY COMPRESSOR

Customer : In-CAD Services Ltd

Tasks:

  1. Determine complex elliptical shape of the rotor to achieve desired compression ratio
  2. Determine maximum centrifugal forces acting on rotor blades
  3. Determine size of Springs for optimium performance.

Benefits:

The ability to experiment with different compression ratio designs and to determine exact size of springs as overdesigning these springs can lead to excess heat generation and under designing can lead to loss of contact between the blades and body - leading to unsatisfactory operation of compressor.

AGRICULTURAL CULTIVATING MACHINE

Customer : Simba International Ltd

Tasks:

  1. Determine Tine tip force sufficient to penetrate hard soil, with some degree of lateral movement
  2. Determine maximum movement, and force,of Tine tip to overcome obstacles in ground

Benefits:

The ability to investigate alternative designs and thus helping to shorten development times during prototyping, which can be valuable where costs and lead times for prototype components such as springs and fabrications are high

TRANSPORTER RAMP

Customer : In-CAD Services Ltd

Tasks:

  1. Determine maximum of jacks to un-fold ramp
  2. Determine reaction loads in Mounting Lugs
  3. Determine the Structural integrity of Lugs

Benefits:

Ability the precisely determine the size of the jacks and strength of the Ramp under loading conditions helping to create an optimum design

AGRICULTURAL TIPPING TRAILER

Customer : Wright Resolutions Ltd

Tasks:

  1. Determine Reaction loads @ key chassis locations due to loading and tipping
  2. Determine Structural Integrity of Chassis

Benefits:

The ability to consolidate the structural design by being able to experiment with various reinforcing options to strengthen the chassis, aiding in the creation of an optimum design, including reducing weight

HIGH SPEED BOTTLE TRANSFER UNIT

Customer : Sheppee International Limited

Tasks:

  1. Simulate the Sprocket and Chain Mechanism
  2. Simulate the operation of the Transfer Unit

Benefits:

Being able to virtually test variuos configurations of the transfer unit thus helping us to suggest the best possible designs to our custimers

AIRBAG LIFTING MECHANISM

Customer : Unipart Rail

Tasks:

  1. Determine structural integrity of mechanism
  2. Determine maximum deflection of mechanism
  3. Optimise and reduce weight of mechanism

Benefits:

Help to reduce the product development and design costs by performing various design optimisation configuration studies, using the powerful new functions of Inventor 2010
